How do I buy a sauna?
Please reach out using the form below. Saunas are made to order, with a build time of 4-6 weeks, but we aim to have a few in our inventory for immediate purchase.

Do you offer a cold plunge?
Yes we do! Cold exposure is an incredible way to maximize your sauna experience. We source a number of cold plunge tubs at different sizes that we’d be happy to include with your sauna for an additional cost.

How hot does the sauna get?
It gets to 180° which we’ve found to be the perfect temperature for this size sauna, but it can get up to 200° by adjusting the placement of the sensor.

Can I pour water on the stones?
Absolutely! In Finland, they lovingly call this Löyly — which is the hot steam that makes you sweat, but also the essence of a proper, traditional sauna experience.

Can I wire the heater myself?
The heater must be wired to a 240V outlet, so we recommend hiring a licensed electrician to install it. If you don’t have an outdoor 240V outlet available, it can also be wired through an external extension cord with a three or four prong plug, which can be plugged into a dryer outlet. If you’re unsure about the process, we’re here to offer guidance.

Our Story

Three years ago, Caleb and his wife Bailey visited Sweden, a place where he has family roots. They stayed in a cabin with a sauna, overlooking the Baltic Sea. It was there that they experienced a deep connection and love for sauna culture.

While in Europe, they also travelled around Norway and Denmark, meeting locals and taking saunas. Whether it was traditional wood burning saunas, floating saunas, sauna villages, or urban saunas — they all had their own creative design, to fit within their respective spaces and layouts. And all of them brought people together in a rad way.

Still stoked on their post-sauna high and with a newfound appreciation for cold and heat exposure, Caleb and Bailey headed back to the States with a vision of making the Scandinavian sauna experience more accessible to Midwesterners.

Bailey’s dad, Steve, is a jack-of-all-trades handyman who has built a number of different saunas over the years. His knowledge and love for the craft made him the perfect collaborator. Together, he and Caleb founded Valhalla Saunas.

Saunas have been a part of our heritage in Minnesota and Wisconsin for generations, but our goal is to make them more affordable and attainable for all people and types of spaces.
